Dr. P Sukumaran is the Emiritus Professor of Respiratory Medicine and is working with Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital since 8 years. Before joining Pushpagiri, he has vast experience of more than 30 years in various Government Medical Colleges & Private Medical Colleges of Kerala. He retired from Government service as Professor of Respiratory Medicine from Government Medical College, Kottayam. He is one of the best chest physician in the country. He is a post-graduate teacher for MD Respiratory Medicine. His academic qualification includes MBBS (Govt. Medical College, Calicut 1975), MD Tuberculosis &  Respiratory Diseases (Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, Delhi 1981)
